This procedure will outline the steps on how to verify and modify DNS settings for dial-up (using a standard phone-line and a modem to access the Internet) customers using Windows 2000. If you are on a Local Area Network (LAN) please consult with your network administrator before following this procedure. Additionally, you must have administrator rights to perform the procedure presented below:
1. Go to START > SETTINGS > CONTROL PANEL

2. Double-click on "Network and Dial-Up Connections".

3. With your RIGHT mouse button, right click on your dial-up connection and select "Properties".

4. Click on the "Networking" tab. Highlight "Internet Protocol (TCP\IP)" and click on the "Properties" button.

5. Click on the "DNS" tab and verify that your screen matches the one below.

6. Click "OK" and close all Windows. Your DNS settings are now properly configured for Pacific Bell Internet Services.
