This procedure will outline the steps on how to verify and modify DNS settings for dial-up (using a standard phone-line and a modem to access the Internet) customers using Windows NT4. If you are on a Local Area Network (LAN) please consult with your network administrator before following this procedure. Additionally, you must have administrator rights to perform the procedure presented below:

1. Go to your desktop and double-click on "My Computer".

2. Double-click on "Dial-Up Networking".

3. If you have multiple phonebook entries, select the phonebook entry that you use with Pacific Bell Internet Services. Click on the "More" button and select "Edit entry and modem properties".

4. A window labeled "Edit Phonebook Entry" will come up. Click on the "Server" tab and click on the "TCP/IP Settings" button.

5. Make sure your screen matches exactly as the one shown below. Once you have made the changes click "OK". Close all your windows.

5. Your DNS settings are now properly configured for Pacific Bell Internet Services.
