This procedure will outline the steps on how to verify and modify DNS settings for for dial-up (using a standard phone-line and a modem to access the Internet) customers using Windows 95/98/Me.

1. Go to START > SETTINGS > CONTROL PANEL

 

2. Double-click on the "Network" icon.

3. Highlight "TCP/IP" by clicking on it once and click on the "Properties" button.

4. Click on the "DNS Configuration" tab. Verify that your screen is identical to the one below. If not, make the necessary changes.

5. Click "OK", and click "OK" again to close the Network control-panel. You will be prompted to restart your system. Click "Yes".

6. Once your system has completed rebooting, your DNS settings will be properly configured for Pacific Bell Internet Services.
