How to check mail settings on Eudora Pro
- To begin checking your mail settings you must first open Eudora Pro by
double-clicking on the Eudora Pro icon located on your desktop.

- Single-click on Tools.

- Go down to Options and single-click on it.

- Make sure you are on the first option called Getting Started.
- Under Real Name type in your full name.
- Under Return address type in your e-mail address with Pacbell.
- Under Mail Server (Incoming) type in postoffice.pacbell.net
- Under Login Name type in your Pacbell e-mail address.
Example: username@pacbell.net
- Under SMTP Server (Outgoing) type in mail.pacbell.net
- Single-click on Checking Mail.

- Under Mail Server type in postoffice.pacbell.net
- Under Login Name type in your Pacbell e-mail address.
Example: username@pacbell.net
- You may choose to have Eudora check for mail automatically by typing
in the number of minutes next to Check for mail every.
- If you would like Eudora to remember your mail password, place a check
in Save password.
- Single-click on Incoming Mail.

- Under Server configuration place a dot in POP.
- Do not place a check in Leave mail on server.
This stores all your e-mail messages on Pacbell's computers, which could potentially
create space issues.
- Do not place a check in Skip messages over.
This option limits your capability to download messages if they are over
a specified size.
- Under Authentication style place a dot in Passwords.
- Single-click on Sending Mail.

- Under Return address type in your e-mail address with Pacbell.
- Leave Domain to add to unqualified addresses blank.
- Under SMTP server type in mail.pacbell.net
- Leave Select a default Stationary for new messages set as No
Default.
- Leave Default Signature set as No Default.
- Place a check in Word wrap.
- Place a check in May use quoted-printable.
- Place a check in Keep copies.
- Place a check in Tabs in body of message.
- Single-click on Replying.

- Nothing in here should be checked.
- Single-click on the down arrow to scroll for additional
options.

- Single-click on Attachments.

- Under Encoding method there should only be a check in MIME.
- Under Delete automatic attachments there should only be a check
in When message emptied from Trash.

Congratulations! Your e-mail settings are configured.
