How to set up Pegasus Mail for the first time
- To begin setting up Pegasus e-mail you must first open Pegasus by double-clicking
the Pegasus icon on your desktop,
or going through the Start Menu to Pegasus Mail.

- When opening Pegasus Mail for the first time, the following screen will
appear. This screen is simply to clarify how many
people will be using the program, so it can create a folder for each individual
user. Single-click on the first option:
Click here if there will only ever be one person running Pegasus Mail on
this computer.

- This screen is giving a suggested location to store e-mail on your computer.
It is best to leave the suggested location and single-click on OK.

- Single-click on Next.

- Type in your e-mail address with Pacbell.
- Single-click on Next.

- Type in postoffice.pacbell.net for the POP3 server.
- Single-click on Next.

- Under User name type in your Pacbell e-mail address.
Example: username@pacbell.net
- Under Password type in your password with Pacbell.
- Single-click on Next. Note: Pegasus may warn you that the User
name is usually just the first part of your email address(before the @).
Click OK to accept the full email address.

- Type in mail.pacbell.net for the SMTP server.
- Single-click on Next.

- Under How do you connect to the Internet place a dot in Dialup.
- Single-click on Next.

- Single-click on Finish.

Congratulations! Your e-mail settings are configured, single-click
on Finish and you're done.
