IMAP Settings Change Email

SUBJECT: Important Service Change - Action Required

Dear Member,

This is an important update to a previous message sent last week, which reminded you to change your Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) email settings in your desktop email program (Outlook Express, Netscape® Messenger, etc.). The update is as follows:

  1. We are happy to tell you that the deadline for making changes to your IMAP settings has been extended to September 5, 2002.
  2. Line numbers 6 and 9 in the instructions for Netscape Messenger versions 4.7x have been modified. Please review the changes closely and follow the new instructions to configure your IMAP settings. (If you do not use Netscape Messenger versions 4.7x, you may ignore this change.)

To ensure continuity of your email service, you must take action by September 5, 2002. To avoid losing any existing mail in your mailbox, first download all email off the IMAP server to your email client and then change your IMAP settings.

If you do not change your IMAP settings by September 5, 2002, you will no longer be able to access your IMAP email, and all mail remaining in your IMAP mailbox will be deleted after 30 days.
